Footage of the Flood

Flood from Jason Thomas on Vimeo.

Here's some footage I shot this morning...

The Big One of 2009

Eastside Fire and RESCUE??? They have a boat so I guess we're in good hands!
How are those fire trucks going to get out?
Eli texting in his pajamas, while Gabe observes the flooded Mariner field!

Tolt Middle School has no parking lot!

This is the view one block west of 203 looking north. It's a record setting flood!
This is looking toward the river on 55th Street. Everyone moves their vehicles out to high ground where they think they'll stay dry. Last night they had to keep moving them farther out.

Here's Lily on the last step of Skip and JoAnne's deck. The water surrounded the house and was within inches of the hot tub!

We've seen enough water for today. Let's go home! The boys on one side of the road......

The girls on the other side of the road.........

When will life get back to normal???

Has anyone got a Yahtzee yet?

Yahtzee night was super sweet! Let's do it again soon.

Moving with Old Faithful

Once again the trusty old Eurovan has been used to move someone. Here she is in front of Aaron's house holding Joe's worldly possessions . Pat has had lots of practice cramming more than you can imagine in that old beast. College years are the busiest when kids go from dorm, to dorm, to house, to apt. back home and then out again! Rain or shine, (or snow) Old Faithful transports the goods!

So give us a call on your next move and your old faithful parents will show up with Old Faithful to get the job done!

The Birthday Boy and Girl

Aren't they cute? I took these pictures just a few years ago, so it's hard to believe that we just celebrated Joe's 27th and Megan's 29th birthdays! They're catching up with me! The whole Grady Bunch made it for the celebration! (it's getting harder to pull that off with so many people and such busy lives).......Sorry for the fuzzy picture, but I like the way they are wearing their mom and dad's shoes!

Happy New Year!

Jason and I had a great time celebrating my birthday and New Year's Eve in Seattle this year and Aiden and Ireland got to party it up with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great holiday season and now we are ready for 2009! Some of the highlights of this holiday season for me:

Ireland started crawling on Christmas Eve (now she's everywhere!)

The "magical" white Christmas

Scrabble and Rock Band at our house. Glad to know we are all smarter than fifth graders!

Aiden sneaking out early on Christmas morning to find his presents from Santa

...and Santa pictures with "freaky" santa!

Happy New Year!

Jesslilom (Jessie-Lily-Tom)

It really was a big family gathering over the holidays. One of the highlights for me was Tom & Jessie's Tofu Pinapple dish...so yummy! And of course the stylish little Ireland was so darling! Good times.
