Valentine's Day

Jason and I had a great Valentine's Day this year! We found a "hidden gem" of a restaurant...the best sushi and noodles!

Can't you just tell how excited Jason is!

Curran, Party of Four

We were invited to Chez Curran for a wonderful Sunday dinner. Greeting us at the door was Miss Liligan who had been preparing all afternoon for our lovely evening!

She seated us and then provided the menu for our perusal. We had the "special"!

It was a scrumptious, old-fashioned pot roast with onions, potatoes and carrots! It was the Sunday meal I had a lot when growing up. (it's one of my favorites)
Here are the satisfied customers.......

Dinner was followed by our choice of entertainment (found on the back of the menu). We opted for a rousing game of Memory even though our "server" was really trying to push the Monopoly game. Lily used to beat us at this game all the time when she was about 4 years old so I thought we were in for defeat! She must have inherited that great memory from her Mom, because it was Annie who really put us all to shame.... It's only a game, right??

It was a fun-filled, entertaining evening with two of our favorite people......(I think we have about 17 favorite people for those of you keeping score)! Getting ready to leave I noticed a sweet note on the refrigerator. Lily sure loves her sweet mama!

Grady Bunch Visits Grady Bunch

Saturday afternoon found us meeting up with the other Gradys to catch up on the latest! (since we missed our Christmas get together due to the weather) Their condo right behind Bellevue Square is very, very nice and you shopaholics would love the idea of stepping out your front door and being at the mall! I should have taken more pictures. Linda looks great and is feeling so much better......almost back to normal!

Here's the bros in the bathroom as we had the grand tour. I had to take a picture of this entire wall that is a mirror. I don't think I'd like the idea of seeing that much of myself every time I went into the bathroom. Even the light fixtures are attached on the mirror.
I like Mike's optimistic attitude about the economy. He thinks the "Stimulus Package" will boost consumer confidence, which will then get people spending and buying houses. We sure hope he is right!!! Thanks for the fun day Grady Bunch! Aloha! (they are leaving for Hawaii for ten days)

Carnation Library opens 1/31/2009

The new Carnation Library opened today with a large crowd there to see the doors open. Lily and I were happy to run into the Thomas crew there. :) It is a very nice building and I was surprised by how spacious it is inside. Seeing all those books in such a nice environment is kind of inspiring. Lily's already finished the book she brough home and has asked when we can go back for more. Sweet!

Happy Birthday Annie!

Celebrating birthday #3!
Celebrating birthday #5 at McDonalds!

Celebrating birthday #7, with Jenny Cline and assistance with blowing out the candles from your helpful sister Megan!

That's enough of the walk down memory lane, let's see what birthdays look like in 2009.......
The birthday girl being given advice on what to "wish" for??
Aaron and Joe supervising Eli's finishing touches on the cake. Good job Eli!
Aiden loves this big family with so many birthdays...... which means lots of birthday cake....yum.yum!
Grandpa Grady being the gracious host, serving the cake and ice cream. Maybe he could take up a new occupation. "Hello, I'm Pat and I'll be your server tonight"

Hope you had a great day Annie!

Friday Night Date!

We spent eight hours at the 2009 Foothills League Middle School Wrestling Tournament....how does that sound for an exciting date? We loved watching Eli and couldn't help but twist and turn when that mean boy from M.I. was going for the pin.
Of course when Eli was being the mean boy and pinning his opponents we were feeling the thrill of victory vicariously. Such fun times!
The after tournament show was pretty entertaining too! Is that Karen putting the moves on Aaron? Is Aaron going for the take down? Can't quite tell.....
We waited until the end so we could see Eli take his place on the podium and proudly represent Tolt Middle School...I'm not sure why they are all looking down....maybe they are trying to be humble?
It was a great date! Thanks Eli!
