The Annual Anniversary Movie

With the snow finally melting we were able to get out to our annual movie ! Thanks to Joe and Alicia for a great date. The movie had some insights that will probably be more appreciated by people over 50! Watching Brad Pitt go from old to young was very believable due to some great make-up artists. Cate Blanchett of course aged the normal way which wasn't quite as dramatic since it's what you expect to happen. All in all, I'd give it two thumbs up!

Snow time in the country!

Christmas time in the city!

Nothing quite like snow in the city. After being woken up by thunder at 5:30am this morning (5:30am!!!) Karen and I walked to Jaywalk today and all around Madrona where Karen dilegently manned her post at Jaywalk while I secured us breakfast and hot beverages. It's official - we love our neighborhood in the snow. We took the long route home and now we're eating hot artichoke dip and watching the snow CONTINUE to fall. Time for a round of Tetris! Hope everyone is warm and safe... A & K

Christmas Comes Today!!!!

Santa delivered this morning! Much to our surprise the Grady Bunch kids had a load of wood delivered so old Gramps and Grandma won't freeze this winter! Children should bring you warmth and comfort in your old age and ours are doing just that! We love you! THANKS! (now if those Christmas elves would just stack it............)

Snow Day!

No school! Just a good old snow day! (what's with that crazy boy without a shirt??)

WhASSSUp Peeeeple

Hey, It's Eli.

Grandma wouldn't let me make my own account, so I have to use my dads.
Right now i'm just chillin at his house and stuff. I was just playing halo with all my friends...xbox live is awesome...and i was owning. OH! and yesterday my dad bought this new track for rockband, "blackened," by metallica. It's basically the hardest song on the whole game. I still havn't beat it on expert...but i will soon.
Lets see....what else is going on....ummm....oh yeah. I have a home wrestling match this monday. And another one on wednesday. There at 3:30 if anyone wants to come watch me totally thrash on them. lol. Right now joe is playing tetris on the nes. He's doing really good. I suck at it. This morning i had a banana for breakfast.
If anybody is wondering what i want 4 christmas...I just want a Pagini Zonda Hypercar. So ya....it's only like 777570$. This next part is to grandma-i sent 13000 texts this month- thats all. Umm... i have good grades right now...im feeling good. Not much else is going on right now...So this is it 4 now.

-Eli is a super awesome ninja asassin and he is going to slowly wipe out the grady/thomas/brown/curran's......so WATCH OUT PEEPS! Don't sleep...EVER

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Because of the economy...(are you getting sick of this phrase?) we are having a great time trying to see how frugal we can be this Christmas season. I usually buy a Costco wreath for my door but this year decided to go without. Much to my surprise my sister-in-law brought me a gift--a beautiful, handmade wreath! She collects the greens, arranges them artistically and then adds a pretty bow! WOW! I love it! THANKS, JoAnne.

A few years ago I planted some trees in the garden to grow specifically to use for the family Christmas tree. Well, they aren't quite big enough but we decided because of the economy we would dig it up and use it as a living Christmas tree. That way we can replant it after the holidays and use it again next year! Because of the economy we are really becoming green.

I'm in.......testing

Cool

Freaky Santa

Because of the economy (this is our fallback excuse for everything now) we have decided to limit our outside Christmas decorations to our one lone inflatable Santa. The grandkids refer to him as "freaky Santa" because of his spooky looking eyes. I'm not sure who should get the "freaky" description when I look at these pictures.

Yesterday I watched the Tolt Middle School wrestling team squash their opponents! They probably felt much like the little guy in this picture.

Turkey Day Tradition

A new Thanksgiving tradition was started this year. Dinner was hosted by someone other than Grandma Grady! Since Aaron and Karen are celebrating their first turkey day as newlyweds they volunteered (?) to have the Grady Bunch at their home in the Central District! The table looked fabulous and the turkey was cooked to perfection! The entertainment was an original screenplay written and performed by the grandchildren. They did a very professional job and it was well received by the enthusiastic crowd! We loved it!

We were definitely reminded of all that we're thankful for.......Now who was it that volunteered to host next year?????

Miss Ireland Rose

Miss Ireland was born on St. Patrick's Day this year making her the youngest of the bunch. She's a cutie and very adored by mom and dad. She has a big brother to keep up with but so far seems to be holding her own. She loves to babble and has learned to scoot around to lay claim on any of her brother's toys she has her eye on. We think she looks a lot like her dad, with her big brown eyes and dark hair - the first brown-eyed baby of the bunch! You can't help but smile when you see Miss Ireland Rose, we sure do love our baby girl!
