Isn't it Grand?

It's been a few weeks but I'm finally just getting around to emptying my camera. Here is gangster Lily and I at Grand Coulee. Very impressive how big it is. We didn't catch the laser show this time...too busy making Smookies back at camp with Megan & Jason. Fun trip!

1st Thomas Family Camping Trip

Against all odds we took the risk of camping with two babies under 3 years old. Fortunately, our first camping trip was a success!!! We ventured with the Currans (Annie and Lily) to uncharted territory (for us anyway :-) to Steamboat Rock National Park. The views were breathtaking and the campsite was well maintained. The kids seriously had a great time and we can't wait to go back next year! Anyway, here's a little slideshow. I'll try to get a video up this week, but we're pretty exhausted from all the traveling. Hit the little X shape on the lower right to view it full screen.

Enjoy!

The Keeg is 25 Today!

Keegan has hit the quarter century mark!
This is how he's celebrating today, by housesitting for the Currans, while they are on a camping trip with the Thomas family! He's hanging out with Fred today! What a good bro!

I remember quite clearly Friday, July 6th in 1984 when I was in labor and wanted to stay home until I watched Michael Jackson's opening night of his tour.....(I think it was his Victory Tour). It ended about midnight and then we headed to the hospital! Now 25 years later the King of Pop is dominating the airwaves again with his funeral hoopla! There must be some conclusions to draw between Keegan's birthday and MJ but I haven't figured it out yet!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEEG!!

4th of July video

Hi Y'all! We spent the 4th of July in Carnation with the Gradys and the Grady-Browns! Sunne summed it up best, but here's a little video document of the day! http://vimeo.com/5463151.

If you want to get straight to the dancin' and fireworks here's a shorter version: http://vimeo.com/5463823

Enjoy!

Highlights:

Our 4th of July!

Here's a little rundown of how we celebrated the 4th of July. It actually doesn't tell the whole story, only the parts that I happened to have my camera handy! Hopefully Jason will be posting his "Independence Day" video soon, so you can see another version of our holiday!
The day began with the "Run for the Pies"! Here's Aaron waiting anxiously for the start of the big race. We always hope more family members will run, oh well, maybe next year.........
The snocone man did a landslide business. Here's Aiden getting offers from cousins Lily and Victoria.

It's always fun to see friends! The DeBoers joined us for the parade.
Aiden is wondering why all these people are in his town today!
We tried our hardest to "hoot and holler" to embarrass Eli, who was walking with the Sno-Valley All Star baseball team. He's the one in the light blue shorts trying to deny he knows us!
The BIG TOOTH....followed by the sweet "Tooth Fairies"!
A Segway in the parade. Wasn't that the innovative, revolutionary, invention that was going to forever change the way people traveled around town? How many are in your neighborhood?

Our church float.....thinking of Josh Ward.
The Candland Bros!
We ended our day at McDonald Park with some seriously great entertainment. The Battle of Fallen Timbers played to an enthusiastic crowd. Hopefully a little video of the dancing audience will be coming soon.......
All in all, another memorable celebration of our country's 233rd birthday!

Still Growing

I'm amazed at how well my garden is doing so far. I added some new flowers & other fun stuff last weekend. I can't seem to stay away from the garden center. Joe and I also bought a fire pit, so we might give it a try this weekend.

Grady BBQ Bash

Here are some pictures from the BBQ.

Showing Uncle Joe how it's done!
