Happy Birthday Karen!

What does every girl want for her birthday???  A new closet of course, so you can store more clothes, shoes, purses, etc.!!




Here's the beginning of the project.  Aaron got it all framed in and wired and then we headed to Seattle on Saturday with the drywall delivery.

The two man crew got to work.

The perfect combination of brains and braun....hmmm...which one is the brains and which one is the braun?

It's almost done!  A little mud, taping, paint, flooring and it's ready for "stuff"!

Our Trip to the Big City

Well, we finally made it to the big city to visit family in Seattle. Tom and Jessie moved to Ballard in May and this is the first time we've been to their place. Our first stop was to Aaron and Karen's for lunch........ and then we had to check out the new landscaping in front! You can actually see the house now. It looks great!

Then we headed over to Ballard with Lily and Victoria to check out Tom and Jessie's place. They have the biggest cat I've ever seen! This picture doesn't quite show how "HUGE" Fallon is. He's like a little stuffed bear. Very hairy.....

Tom lives right across from the Hiram S. Chittenden locks....(I wonder if Hiram is related to the Chittenden's in Carnation??) We walked out his front door, crossed the street and we were right there! In fact the name of their apartment complex is Lock Vista!

We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the girls found lots of places to pose......

The boats that go through are pretty spectacular.....Pat and I kept thinking how expensive it must be to own and operate a boat......

Uncle Tom and his nieces check out a big boat that came through the locks.

Then we headed a couple blocks west to Golden Gardens and let the girls jump the waves for a few minutes....that's all it took for them to get wet! Good thing it was a nice fall day!

Our trip to the big city was very enjoyable and I know Lily was very glad to see her Uncle Tom!
