A New Mother's Day Tradition!

I'm not sure who planned it to happen this way but celebrating Mother's Day on Saturday turned out to be AWESOME!!!! The majority of the kids were here and helped us plant the garden! It was so much fun and we really got a lot done. Let's repeat this new tradition next year!

Here's Lily and random girl planting seeds so carefully, while Victoria and Grandma supervise!
Karen really got a lot done! THANK YOU! Maybe you should move to the country and become a farmer girl!
Victoria wanted her own special garden so her Dad helped her plot it out and it's going to be a very special spot!
Straight string makes for neat straight rows ......
Pat and Karen did a lot of weeding and you can see how nice my future Christmas trees look!
Some helpers did their part by soaking up the rays and getting a tan line. (Annie and Alicia)
Of course we had to have a little entertainment by Victoria, Lily and Shelby.
Somehow every family get together seems to end up in the kitchen .....

The best part of the day of course was everyone's presence........ but the presents also were greatly appreciated!

I love these old "Carnation" bottles and milk can......(found at a local garage sale).
Joe's flower gifting is going in alphabetical order so this year I have a wonderful assortment of plants that start with "D"......daisy, dahlia, and a few things I can't spell or pronounce.
This was a brilliant idea! I didn't know how much we used our microwave until it died a few weeks ago.....our children take such good care of their old parents and put us back in business!
Here's Lily admiring the beautiful Mother's Day bouquet!

Thanks EVERYONE for such a great weekend! I'm blessed to be your mom!!!!
